"This was just the thing to clear the sinuses on a blustery Autumn night. This is one of those occasions when having produce around has made me creative. I used a whole pepper, but I imagine it would be a bit too much for most. The dairy didn't cut the capsaicin quite as much as I had expected."
Ingredients
- 1 box macaroni & cheese
- 1/2 fresh jalapeƱo
- 4 Tbsp. whole milk
Directions
- Set water to boil. Meanwhile, cut pepper into thin slices, then dice to length of cooked noodles. Stir cheese sauce mix into peppers in serving bowl, and leave to macerate. Boil pasta until al dente, following instructions on box. In last several minutes, mix milk into sauce mix and peppers. Drain pasta, return to pan, and add the pepper mixture. Heat through, then return to serving bowl.
