Mom made this stew for me when I was undergoing radioactive iodine therapy for my thyroid. It was delicious!

Tips

  • Brown the meat till it's really brown!
  • If you cook it in a crock pot, leave the lid off for a while so the liquid thickens.
  • If it's too bland, add more salt (and maybe pepper).
